    Florida man allegedly killed dad because he believed he was ‘trying to link up with satanic people’

    DUNELLON, Fla. (TCN) -- A 25-year-old man is behind bars on second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of his father.The Marion County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Andres Bahamon on June 10. He had been in custody since May on evidence tampering charges in connection with the missing person investigation related to his father, 43-year-old Andres Bahamon-Prada.The investigation into Bahamon-Prada’s disappearance began May 16 after family members told authorities they had not seen him since May 7. Detectives executing a search warrant at a property found his remains buried in the backyard and collected evidence from inside the home, including dried blood, according to the sheriff’s office. Bahamon became the primary suspect in Bahamon-Prada’s death and reportedly refused to speak with authorities.While in custody for evidence tampering charges, Bahamon allegedly told authorities he killed his father. He claimed he asked God for permission a million times, according to the sheriff’s office. He allegedly said he was doing God’s work because he believed that his father was “trying to link up with satanic people.”Based on the details he allegedly shared about his father’s death, as well as the evidence collected at the scene, Bahamon was charged with second-degree murder on June 10.According to WTVT, authorities have not released information on Bahamon-Prada’s cause of death or what Bahamon’s motive might have been to allegedly kill his father.Bahamon is being held without bond.MORE: Son shot Oklahoma parents because they were ‘sending him messages telepathically’: affidavit — True Crime News
