Cop’s toddler son allegedly brought loaded gun to day care; parents charged

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (TCN) -- The parents of a 3-year-old boy who allegedly brought a loaded gun to day care have been charged.

The Associated Press reports the child allegedly pulled a loaded gun out of his backpack on Sept. 28. No one was injured. Canton Police Chief Joseph Bialy said, “I don’t think there was any ill intent by truly anyone involved. I think it really falls back on safe security of a firearm, making sure that we know where our firearms are located, that they are not accessible to anyone.”
