    6 N.J. women, girls hospitalized following ‘targeted’ acid attack

    JERSEY CITY, N.J. (TCN) -- A juvenile has been arrested in connection with what police are calling a targeted acid attack on June 15 that left six people injured.According to Kim Wallace Scalcione, a spokesperson for Jersey City’s Department of Public Safety, “Individuals riding in a vehicle drove up and threw what is believed to be sulfuric acid at [the victims],” ABC News reports. All the victims are female and three are teenagers. All were standing outside a home when the suspect drove past on a moped, CBS News reports.The victims were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, but one victim was taken to a burn unit for second-degree burns on her face and scalp, per ABC News.
